The Village Martini and Wine Bar tells an inspiring story of a homecoming of two (2) high school friends. Jeff Rumplik and Brad Cubbal are long-time friends who both graduated in 1997.

Village Martini and Wine Bar was opened and filled the space formerly occupied by Trifles Bistro and Bar. Actually, this is the second area restaurant for owner Rumplik and Executive Chef Cubbal. The pair operates the Clifton Martini and Wine Bar in Cleveland.

Both of them begin in the restaurant industry as 13-year-old busboys at the former Hunters Hollow Restaurant. Cubbal later enhanced his culinary studies at Johnson & Wales University. On the other hand, Rumplik worked as a bartender at Las Vegas hotspots. It’s always a dream for both of them to meet back and work together.

Their first business endeavour, Clifton, was so successful that it motivated them to expand to the east. They both believe that the Village would fill a niche on the restaurant strip on the East Washington Street. Rumplik and Cubbal embarked on a two-month renovation project. They installed a new, bigger bar.

Village Martini and Wine Bar serves new American cuisine. It specializes in small plates, but also offers a variety of entrees and salads. The pretzel-crusted crab cakes, seared ahi tuna, and bourbon barbecue pork chops are very popular. The drink menu features eight (8) drafts, 40 bottle beers, 14 martini selections, and 30 wines by the glass. Seasonal changes are expected.

The Village is ideal for those who are looking for fine dining experience. It’s very appealing that customers are having fun with the food and the atmosphere.

The Village Martini and Wine Bar’s dining room can house 60 guests. The party room can accommodate a group of 25. The front patio can seat 40 people, which is a great attraction during spring and fall.

The Village Martini and Wine Bar partnered with the Chagrin Valley Art Centre to showcase the artwork of local artists. Dan King, one of the featured artists, taught art to Cubbal and Rumplik in high school.

The two owners try to keep everything in Village in the right perspective despite the hectic schedule. Reservations are suggested for peak hours. The Village Martini and Wine Bar are now available in-store and in Amazon.com.
